KeyDirect recently ended its 4.75% APY 23-month CD. However, they’ve come out with an even higher rate CD at 5.00% APY for 29 months. If you open a Key Advantage Checking Account, the rate gets bumped up by .25% to 5.25%, one of the highest online CD rates available.

Minimum deposit on the CD is $5,000. Unfortunately, there’s a $15 monthly fee on the advantage checking account unless $5,000 is deposited, so a total of $10,000 is required in your savings, checking, and CD. As a result, it’s probably not worth it to go for the extra .25% unless you have a huge deposit.
