Chase and banks formerly known as WaMu currently have a $100 bank bonus for applying for a new checking account.
In order to qualify, you just need to open a new checking account, make a deposit of $100, and sign up for direct deposit or make five debit card purchases within the first 60 days. After you complete all these requirements $100 will be deposited into your new account.

The bonus expires on June 16 at Washington Mutual and June 23 at Chase.

How long does it take to get this bonus?
When I signed up for a Wamu account a couple of months ago, I signed up hastily and didn’t put the full amount that qualifies you for the $100 bonus.
I did nothing else with the account, except for one purchase and one deposit, and I check my account two days ago, and I received a $100 bonus! I checked to see if I actually qualify, but I don’t, so this is interesting.
I’m not complaining!
