Hello, and welcome to another edition of Bad CD Rates! Today we will be covering Suntrust Bank.

Suntrust Bank offers abysmally low CD rates, money market rates, and savings account rates. These rates may not be the most updated (I couldn’t find actual rates listed on their site) but if they are the latest rates I would recommend staying far away. 0.80% for a 1 year CD is just ridiculous.

Suntrust doesn’t seem to be getting much love (or trust) from it’s customers, either. Most complaints seem to be about excessive fees. Take a look at some customer reviews here.

In short, the forecast for Suntrust Bank doesn’t look too hot. You’d probably be better off with Emigrant Direct, Amtrust Direct, or Umbrella Bank.
